History
During the summer of 2004, Thomas D. Budd and M. Shawn Way drafted a plan for a new community bank and began sharing their vision and raising capital. The vision was well received within the Rockford Community, and Rockford Bank and Trust Company officially opened the doors at its main location at 127 North Wyman Street, Rockford, Illinois on January 3, 2005.
In October of 2005, Rockford Bank and Trust opened a temporary facility at 4591 Guilford Road while construction on the banks second location began at this same site. In November of 2006, Rockford Bank and Trust opened its new 20,000 square foot facility at 4571 Guilford Road, Rockford, Illinois.
As of May 31st, 2008, RB & T has grown from 11 employees to over 34 employees, and to over $180 million dollars in assets. Our employees commit to improving the community through volunteerism, fundraising and corporate and personal giving, all for the purpose of building a stronger Rockford.
